Costa Caleta
Ideally located on the east coast, Costa Caleta (formerly known as Caleta de Fuste) is just 10 mins. drive from Fuerteventura Airport and is centrally located to explore the delights of this beautiful island. Head north to the golden sand dunes of Corralejo or head south to the miles of flat beaches in Jandia. The property is situated on the Amuley Mar I complex in the centre of Costa Caleta, just 5 mins. walk to the main Caleta beach and 2 mins. walk to the numerous bars and restaurants the resort of Caleta has to offer. There are 2 golf courses just 5 mins. drive away, one of which was host to the Spanish Open in 2004 and the 2nd a brand new course opened in Spring 2007. Both courses are 18 holes and facilities include a driving range, practice putting green and chipping green. They offer buggy hire, trolley hire and club hire. Golf lessons are available 7 days a week and all staff are multilingual. Both courses offer 5* Club house facilities.

Fuerteventura boasts two golf courses and a third is well on its way to completion. The island has high hopes of becoming a major golfing tourist attraction. The climate is ideal for playing golf all year round. Fuerteventura's biggest and only PGA championship golf course is at Caleta de Fuste, just 5 mins. drive from our holiday home and a second 18 hole golf course, Las Salinas, adjacent to it, was opened in spring 2007. The PGA course opened at the end of April 2002 and it earned it's title when it staged the 2004 Spanish Canaries Open to much acclaim. Stretching over 1,500,000sq. metres, it has some superb views to the Atlantic ocean with lakes and palm trees. There are 67 bunkers presenting a challenge to golfers but none are too deep. The course is a few minutes from the sea and golden sandy beach at Caleta de Fuste. Catering for the challenge of sea breezes are large greens averaging more than 614sq. metres. From the tee, there are fairways more than 50 metres wide. The course has been designed where the number of difficult holes balance the number of easier ones giving golfers the chance to recover shots. The 18 hole golf course is a par 70 of 6049 meters from the men's championship tees with two loops of nine holes starting and finishing at the clubhouse. There are three large lakes connected by a stream and all come into play. Buggy paths connect all the holes. Three of the par threes are played into a head wind, there are two par 5s and the rest are par 4. The course is mostly flat except for the 17th and 18th. The new Las Salinas course opened recently adjacent to the PGA course, offers golfers a choice of courses and with it a further challenge!
