Villa La Isla Bonita is located on the newly developed Fuerteventura golf club near the small town of El Castillo (Caleta de Fustes) on the east coast of the island of Fuerteventura. Fuerteventura Golf Club is a new 18 hole championship golf course, with lush wide fairways and swaying palm trees which offers both an interesting and challenging test for players of all standards. The course is a par 70 extending 6124 metres from the championship tees, with a mild descent from the Clubhouse down towards the ocean. Designed by the prestigious architect Juan Catarimeau, water comes into play on many holes with a series of attractive lakes and brooks traversing the course. To compensate for the prevailing breeze and water the greens are large and most of the fairways are quite generous. Green fees (Circa 40 euro) are relatively inexpensive particularly compared to mainland Spain or Portugal. There is a large practice area which includes a 50 bay driving range area and extensive practice putting / chipping facilities. Professional tuition is available in several languages. The clubhouse includes large pro-shop, changing rooms with lockers, a club storage area and a choice of bars and restaurants. There is also an outside terrace and garden area where you can enjoy your drink overlooking the 18th green with spectacular views down towards the Atlantic Ocean. Buggies, trolleys and two classes of clubs can be hired.
