| Notes | South East Cornwall is a hidden jewel, with plenty to do apart from Golf! Country Houses & gardens: Spectacular 15th Century Cotehele House is 4 miles away, while 16th Century Mount Edgcumbe is 10 miles. Both Heligan and the Eden project are less than an hour away. Local Activities for the adventurous include karting, 4x4 driving, clay pigeon shooting, archery, coarse fishing and pony riding - all available locally. Water sports enthusiasts can canoe the Tamar or windsurf and sail at Siblyback. There is great walking, locally and on Bodmin, Dartmoor, and the coast. OS maps and walking books are included in the information packs in the Barn. St Mellion has a Spa and a creche. For children there is lots to do: we have our own adventure playground and 25 acres to explore. Also the Donkey Park at St Annes Chapel, the Fairy Wood at Carnglaze, a monkey sanctuary and an owl sanctuary towards Looe, and Plymouth has a host of indoor & outdoor activities. Beaches: The coast is c. 10 miles away. |
