Near some fo the finest golf courses in the world
A fully renovated Barn in a large garden situated in a hamlet in the Forest d’Eu on the Normandy/Picardy border. From the pool deck there are beautiful views over the Bresle Valley and open farmland. A perfect setting for self-catering or B&B holidays, or a short break to get away, relax and unwind. An ideal location for walking, cycling (road & mountain bike), fishing or golf; while beaches and renowned (even by Parisians) seafood restaurants are only 35 mins drive through magnificent forests. Although the Barn is in a tranquil, rural setting, this does not exclude the possibility for a variety of interesting days out: archaeology and history châteaux and museums, medieval cities of Amiens and Rouen, and Paris, Monet’s home and Disneyland are all within easy reach. Just an hour and a half from Calais the B&B is also an ideal and comfortable place at which to break those long journeys between UK and further south in France. Enquire for web address.

There are a number of excellent golf courses within easy reach of Basse Copette. So if it is a golfing break you are looking for – look no further. In fact Normandy is ranked amongst the top ten desirable golfing locations in the world! There are three courses that are worth particular mention.
Champ de Bataille is said to be Normandy’s finest golf course, and is in fact fast gaining the reputation of one of the most beautiful golf courses in all of France. The gentle opening hole will lull you into a false sense of security, because the following 16 holes are amongst the most challenging, but also incredibly scenic. Perched on white cliff tops with stunning views over the sea, the golf course at Etretat offers a round with a difference. Playing golf here will be a truly memorable experience.
At St-Saens you will experience a varied course, with parkland, moorland as well as water holes. Set in the grounds of a magnificent chateau.

- Notes
- Basse Copette is ideally situated in Northern France on the edge of Normandy and Picardy. Only 35 minutes from some lovely seaside resorts. It is also within easy travelling of the historic battlefields and the major cities of Amiens, Rouen and Dieppe. There are many possibilities for interesting days out - within easy reach are charming châteaux, museums, fishing villages, Giverny (home of Monet), Rouen, Paris, Disneyland. There are, of course, excellent and very reasonable restaurants. Local towns have weekend open markets, riding, fishing, and tennis, sailing, shooting and swimming all possible (depending on season).
Basse Copette is only a 35 minute drive to the nearest, coastal town of Le Treport, a truly pleasurable seaside resort for the whole familly. Here you will find a great beach, and a selection of fine seafood restaurants. Le Treport also has a great selection of shops and supermarkets.

Guest comments
A number of my guests comment very favourably on the ease and speed of making a reservation, the directions to Basse Copette, the welcome they receive when they get here, the quality, comfort and the food once they are here. A number of my guests, of all ages, have said this is by far one of the best holiday cottages. It is impossible to add in all the comments received from previous guests, but take a look at the website for more of these, here are just three:
'Fantastic B&B, perfect for our stopover. Only wish we could have stayed longer (perhaps a return is required!!!). Kids loved the pool. Thanks for making us feel so welcome'. July 2005.
'What can I say! Thank you so much for making our honeymoon one to remember! The food was fantastic and it was a pleasure being in your company this week!' August 2005.
'We've had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the home comforts of the barn. It is the perfect setting for exploring Normandy and Picardy. Thank you'. June 2005
