Farmhouse Le Marronnier is situated in the rural countryside of the Auvergne. Our holiday house, suitable for 4 persons, is dated from 1796, and built from natural stone. The thick walls and the robust beam constructions are characteristic of the old style of building from this region, Bocage Bourbonnais. The house has been tastefully renovated with oak beams, hand-formed red floor-tiles and 2 authentic bread-ovens. To the rear of the holiday house stands a fig-tree and your own terrace, where you can enjoy the first sun-beams and the magnificent view. If you wish we can look after you by providing a copious and delicious breakfast, complete with our home-made jam. The house has electric heating throughout and in the living room there is also a wood-burner for your comfort on cooler days. With the Tronçais forest nearby, Le Marronnier is an ideal starting-point for walkers and cyclists, but also perfect for people who are seeking tranquillity and space
