If you'd like a mixture of catered and self catered living in the privacy of your own lodgings, then we are for you. We provide a cooked breakfast, four course dinners with wine carefully chosen by us to suit the food and you can bring your own drinks too. This seems to have proved a hit with many golfing groups who just keep coming back. If you want a chain owned hotel with staff, canned music and indifferent food then we are not for you, but if you want independence and excellent catering with a personal but unobtrusive touch, we may be what you're looking for. We are also happy to help you plan and book your courses and make restaurant reservations.

We are five minutes from the 18 hole golf course at St Saens and within easy reach of other very good 18 hole courses in Normandy. Groups of golfers who visit us tend to stay 2-3 nights and play three to four courses usually starting and ending with St Saens or a course near their departure point to the UK. All the courses we recommend are within an hours drive and have been played and approved by many groups over the years. We would suggest St Saens, Le Foret Vert nr Rouen, Etretat and Dieppe and others slightly further afield. Although there is a good but limited choice of restaurants, most groups have dinner with us as it saves driving in the evening so they are ready after a good breakfast to get to the next course, we are happy to book courses and restaurants for you at no charge (we don't receive any commission for this) as we think it is part of the service we offer.

- The hamlet of Mesnil Benard is a small farming community in picturesque countryside near the town of St Saens on the periphery of the largest beech forest in Europe. 40 minutes from the coast made famous by the painter Monet and 25 minutes from the old medieval city of Rouen in the Seine Maritime region of Normandy.
Golf details
St Saens, 18 hole with Chateau clubhouse, wooded and open with some dastardly hard water hazards on the first five, seems to keep players amused again and again, friendly easy going atmosphere, best during the week.
Dieppe, 18 hole course on the coast deemed superb by some players, that means quite a challenge for others.
Foret Vert (near Rouen), now a mature course having been relatively new (about five years ago), not championship but rated highly by experienced players.
Etretat, on the cliffs, so wind can be a factor, superb views, weather can be more of a challenge than the other courses.
These are the tried and tested favourites but there are many others within striking distance, just depends on how far you are prepared to drive, most of the others are over an hour away.

Experience.
We have been accommodating golfers for over 8 years are think we are fairly used to what's wanted, most of the groups have returned many times. We are not offering standard golf hotel breaks, the house is rated four stars and we think of it more as a lodge with catering services, there are'nt any staff so you are left to enjoy the place with your group. We hope we are highly competitive on price and value with any of the chain owned or independent accommodation around.
We offer a light cooked breakfast and a distinctly satisfying four course menu in the evening at 37.50 euros with wine. We take a lot of trouble with our wine choice and have kept our prices low and standards high, some of our clients have tried to buy our stock from us for their own businesses.........
