The Farmhouse @ Basse Copette

The terrace in front of the Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is a typical Norman style longere, which lends itself to character and quality B&B. A perfect location for stopovers on long journeys from the UK to the south of France. These guests arrive in the late afternoon, have an arranged meal in the evening and set off the following morning refreshed. Take the hassle out of those long drives! During July and August the Farmhouse is available for self-catering accommodation. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 8 individuals. There are 2 different suites, both of which are spacious and airy loft conversions with en-suite facilities. The Picardy Suite has a double bed and a single bed and an en-suite bath. The Normandy Suite is perhaps more suited to families, sleeping a maximum of 5 people. This room has a king size bed and a single bed, and there is the option of an adjacent 'family room' which has a further 2 single beds. A cot can be provided in either room on request.
Basse Copette is ideally situated in Northern France on the edge of Normandy and Picardy. Only 35 minutes from some lovely seaside resorts. It is also within easy travelling of the historic battlefields and the major cities of Amiens, Rouen and Dieppe. There are many possibilities for interesting days out - within easy reach are charming châteaux, museums, fishing villages, Giverny (home of Monet), Rouen, Paris, Disneyland. There are, of course, excellent and very reasonable restaurants. Local towns have weekend open markets, riding, fishing, and tennis, sailing, shooting and swimming all possible (depending on season).

| Notes | Are you thinking about taking a relaxing, short break away? Perhaps a midweek break to enjoy the changing colours of Normandy’s autumn landscape? Or, how about a calm weekend away just before the madness of Christmas? Maybe you would like to surprise your loved one with a cosy, winter weekend getaway? Does your summer holiday seem like ages away – how about a short spring break? Treat yourself to a three day midweek or weekend, seasonal break at Basse Copette. Basse Copette is within easy reach of Calais, and other ferry ports at Dieppe and Boulogne, and the airport at Beauvais. It provides a suitable base for day trips to Paris, Amiens and Rouen and the best shopping and restaurants France has to offer. “You’ll know for yourselves once you have stayed here just how special a place this really is” From autumn to spring, Basse Copette is the perfect setting for a relaxing 3-day break in the cosy and comfortable Normandy style farmhouse (B&B) or the sensitively renovated Barn |
Previous Guests' Comments
A number of my guests comment very favourably on the ease and speed of making a reservation, the directions to Basse Copette, the welcome they receive when they get here, the quality, comfort and the food once they are here. A number of my guests, of all ages, have said this is by far one of the best holiday cottages. It is impossible to add in all the comments received from previous guests, but take a look at the website for more of these, here are just three:
'Fantastic B&B, perfect for our stopover. Only wish we could have stayed longer (perhaps a return is required!!!). Kids loved the pool. Thanks for making us feel so welcome'. July 2005.
'What can I say! Thank you so much for making our honeymoon one to remember! The food was fantastic and it was a pleasure being in your company this week!' August 2005.
'We've had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the home comforts of the barn. It is the perfect setting for exploring Normandy and Picardy. Thank you'. June 2005.
