Charming traditional french farmhouse in the heart of the Tarn region with swimming pool overlooking beautiful rolling countryside, which enjoys the sunshine from early morning to the last glorious sunset. ‘Lou Vigne’ is set in a tranquille location, down a quiet country lane, near the small hamlet of Saint Salvy. The nearest village with facilities is Teillet which is 2k away. The farmhouse has been recently renovated to a very high standard, and as far as possible, the original features have been retained. The house has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 9 people. The living room is on the ground floor and has a wood burning stove, the 1st double bedroom is also on the ground floor.The large kitchen dining room is on the 2nd floor, there are patio doors that open onto a small patio area. In the kitchen there is a large farmhouse table and small sofa for comfortable seating, there is also a small wood burning stove. the bathroom, toilet, and further 2 bedrooms are also on the 2nd floor

The area is also handsomely endowed with beautiful medieval villages, colourful markets and quality restaurants. The elegant medieval town of Albi, the capital of Tarn, is only 20 minutes away, with its famous Gothic cathedral, the Toulouse Lautrec museum and a wealth of lovely shops and restaurants. The climate is generally Mediterranean and reputed to have 300 plus days of sunshine a year. The nearest village with shops and bar is Teillet which is 2k away. The nearest market towns are Realmont, Alban and Villfranche d’Albigeois (all about 15-20 minutes away). The nearest city is Albi (20-25mins). Medieval villages such as Cordes sur Ciel, Lautrec, Monesties, Ambialet 30-50 mins. Millau Bridge 11/2 hours (highest road bridge in the world). Coast – Narbonne

Rental Notes:
Long winter lets available at discounted prices - please enquire of owners. Outside high season (July and August), if available, Lou Vigne can be let for long weekends - please enquire of owners for terms and arrangements. For prices in euros please consult owners. Rental prices include electricity, water, hot water and heating, except for lettings during the period 1 November – 31 March, when metered electricity is charged and a charge will be made for the wood for the fire. Reservation is made by email or telephone. On booking a 25% deposit is required. Balance due no later than 8 wks before the start of your let along with a deposit of £200 against damage/loss. If there are no problems this is returned to you at the end of your holiday. In the event of cancellation, we will return 90% of your payment unless the cancellation is within 6 weeks of the start of your booking, in which case, we will return 90% of your payment only if we are able to re let Lou Vigne.

However, some strokes require good concentration prior to being played. A view of Albi from hole no 10 is quite superb. Golf d'Albi-Lasbordes A splendid championship golf course where the Tarn river runs alongside some of the fairways. On several holes, especially #15, you can be distracted by the beauty of the Cathedral Sainte-Cecile towering in the background. Golf Du Grand Rodez - Aveyron The course offers wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside around Rodez. A course of some 5,536 m, for a par 70, the technical 18 hole course will enable beginners and experienced golfers alike to express their passion and talents on the excellent fairways and greens. Golf de Mazamet Built in 1956, this is one of the most beautiful courses in Midi-Pyrenees. No excuse! You must play there. Golf des etangs de Fiac Very nice to play here, think about the water hazards and the best place to land the ball on several holes and you will not be too taxed. Good facilities including swimming pool and an excellent restaurant. 9 HOLE GOLF COURSES IN TARN & AVEYRON Golf d'Aigueleze A true training centre, 5 holes surrounding a well layed out driving range. Some other activities on the base. Golf de Mezeyrac - Aveyron Mezeyrac is on the limit of the Aubrac plateau, just 10 minutes from Laguiole. The 9 hole course (par 34, 2 564 m) is mapped out between mountain torrents and ancient oak trees. Apart from the driving range and a practice putting green, there is also a heated swimming pool, a tennis court, a restaurant, a bar and comfortable accommodation available. A great atmosphere particularly during the summer. Golf de Castres-Gourjade Splendid golf course twisting with the Agout river. Good and average players will find equal pleasure here. Royal Aubrac - Aveyron Near the village of Aubrac, a golf 9 hole (par 33) with a driving range and putting-green, set in a 20 ha park. Riding centre, tennis courts, archery, mountain bikes and a heated swimming pool complete the list of sporting facilities on offer. A holiday complex with 60 bedrooms and a restaurant.

Outside
A small patio seating area is situated just outside the kitchen area, planted with flowering shrubs and herbs. The pool area has a separate seating area with a bbq. The pool is fenced and is cleaned and maintained regularly. It is a 10m x 5m pool, with wide graduated steps at the shallow end. There is a small area that is 1m deep which then graduates to 2m at the deep end. The pool and the pool area are well illuminated for evening use. Next to the pool is a small pool house, which houses the sun loungers and parasol.
