Les Vachers is a beautiful old house lovingly restored by the owner. The downstairs is open plan with a hand crafted dining table which seats 10 comfortably and an elm tooped bar. The kitchen has a range type gas cooker and is fully equipped as a home from home. There is full central heating making it suitable for those early or late season breaks. There is a private pool with a separate kiddies pool. In the grounds opposite the house is a private fishing lake which is well stocked with large carp. Also in the grounds is a private nine hole pitch and putt course which is perfect for all ages to practise on.Use of both the fishing lake and private golf are included in your stay. Less than 10 minutes drive away is Chateau Les Vigiers, a 18 hole course with restaurant and beauty salon.
Les Vachers is situated in the tiny hamlet of Thenac. the nearest village is Sigoules which has a mini supermarket, bakery and butchers. Sigoules is 7KM from Les Vachers. Les Vachers is at the heart of a triangle whose three points are Bergerac, Eymet and Ste Foy La Grande. Bergerac has an airport which has low cost flights from Stansted, Bristol, Southampton, Birmigham, East Midlands, Liverpool and Edinburgh. Eymet is a beauiful bastide town with a lively night market. The popular wine region of St Emilion is only 30KM from Ste Foy La Grande.

Fishing
The private fishing lake opposite the house is well stocked with large carp, rud and roach. The fish are well fed and can normally be caught with a piece of bread on a hook. it offers easy fishing for all the family.
Out and about
The three towns of bergerac, ste Foy La Grande and Eymet are all within easy reach. They all offer markets and local restaurants. A set lunch with wine can be enjoyed for as little as 10 Euros a head. Bergerac is a historic town with museums and river trips available, as well as a leisurely stroll around the old quarter.
The house is in the centre of the wine growing region with many chateaux offering free tasting.
