Lovely renovated house nearly in town and nearly in the countryside
Sol y Sombra is ideally situated 10mn from Bordeaux town centre in a village, easy access to ringroad and motorway, but nearly in the countryside and its local vinyeards. Our house is opposite a lovely animal park (free entrance), close to local amenities. Golf course 20mn away, lake fishing, walking, cycling and more! Facilities: twin room and double room both en suite. Kitchen corner, terrace, shaded front garden, WIFI connection, free internet access, freefone to some 24 countries, just ask! Fresh fruit juices, home made jams and bread, warm welcome.

For golf-fans on every level this region is truly paradise: Sol y Sombra is only 20mn away from the Pessac Golf Club or the Golf du Lac, only 40mn away, we have the Gujan Mestras Golf Club: that’s enough to enjoy a Golf Break at Sol y Sombra! Le golf d’Arcachon and le Golf de Lacanau are only a little further. Each course is different, which makes it a challenge! Stay with us and enjoy playing at the different courses: either in the pine forest or on the coast! At Sol y Sombra, you can expect great value: First night is free for the group leader (minimum 5 people). Complimentary welcome drinks on arrival. We organise your golf days for you for a small fee, saving you time and sometimes disappointment during busy periods without prior booking. We can organize transport if required. An evening meal can also be provided upon request by prior arrangement (15 euros per person for a 3 course meal, wine and coffee included). For more details, contact us! Tourism
Near to Sol y Sombra Sol y Sombra is situated opposite a our local park and Woodland. You can walk around at no charge and admire the very varied European fauna (more than 50 different species of birds and mammals). Within the grounds, your children can enjoy the fabulous playground with its magic roundabout and visit the Aquarium. The River Bourde runs through the Park and animals and visitors alike can enjoy the riverside walk. Sol y Sombra was built on what used to be the vineyards of the Chateau de Laurenzanne which is now the Town Hall. It is still possible to walk through the Park and see the Chateau, its grounds, magnificient fountain and old glass greenhouse. South of Gradignan town centre, you can visit a unique historical and architectural building. The Cayac Old Priory, which boasts a history closely linked to the pilgrimages of St Jacques de Compostelle. You can walk around the grounds, along the River Bourde and even stop for a drink at the local restaurant.
