La Rochelle with its stunning marina and quayside cafes and restaurants is 30 minutes drive away. The nearest beach at Chatelaillon is 25km away. The historic town of Saintes with its Roman amphitheatre is a 45 minute drive. The beautiful Ile de Oleron and Ile de Re, with their miles of sandy beaches and sleepy villages are both close by.

The nearest Golf course is the Links course at La Rochelle which is about 35kms away. Other courses are at Niort, Saintes and Cognac all within 1 hour by car. There are other courses at around an hour journey
