English-owned bed & breakfast, or 'Chambres d'Hôtes'
You have a choice of three double en-suite rooms, each decorated in traditional French style and furnished with French and English antique furniture. Each room has a comfortable seating area with complimentary cold drinks in a mini-fridge, together with tea and coffee making facilities (with fresh milk for you in the fridge!). The rooms have fans to help keep you cool in the summer and the beds are fitted with electric blankets to keep you warm in the winter. All rooms are centrally heated. Towels and toiletries are provided in all our en-suite shower rooms and hair-dryers are also in each room for your use. You are also welcome to sit in our peaceful garden at any time of the day to enjoy a coffee, a cold drink or just to mull over those missed putts from earlier in the day. Weather permitting, breakfast can also be taken here and you are welcome to use the garden if you want to bring your own 'picnic' at lunchtime or in the evening.

Le Dorat
Situated in the heart of the picturesque medieval town of Le Dorat, we offer you quality bed and breakfast accommodation in our three elegantly refurbished en-suite bedrooms, priced from 55 to 6o euros per night, for the room with breakfast. Le Dorat, in the north of the Limousin Region, can also make a convenient stop-over point if you are passing to or from your final golfing holiday destination further south, as we are about mid-way through the centre of France and only about 20 km from the main A20 mototway.(single night stays welcome) You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome from us and the family here at Maison Robert and we are happy to cater for children of all ages. Pets are welcome at the house.

The Limousin is an expanding area for golf, with about ten courses of varying standards within the region. Some of those within easy distance from us are as follows: Closest to us is the Saint Junien Golf Club. About a 35 km drive south of Le Dorat towards Limoges, it is an 18 hole course of 5,516 metres (6,040 yards), par 72, with a practice area and restaurant. Weekend greenfee is a modest 36 euros. Just outside the beautiful city of Limoges and about a 50 km drive, is Golf de Limoges Saint-Lazare. 6,222 metres (6,810 yards), par 72 and again with driving range facilities and restaurant. They also have tennis and a swimming pool if you are still feeling energetic after your golf. Also at Limoges, about 5 km outside the city, is Golf de la Porcelaine, 18 holes, 6,042 metres (6,610 yards) par 72 with trees, streams and ponds to add to its beauty and challenge. Golf Club de la Jonchere is at Gouzon, between Gueret and Montlucon, about 75 km virtually due east from us on the other side of the A20. This has an 18 hole par 72 course of 5,960 metres (6,520 yards), and a 9 hole par 3 course, together with the usual facilities. South of Limoges, so a little bit further on, is Golf de Brive, 5,847 metres (6,395 yards), par 71 set in picturesque wooded countryside with the meandering river Planchetorte ready to catch the errant shot! A practice area and restaurant add to the day out with a 35 euro greenfee.
