The European Senior Tour visited the Scandinavian Course in the fall of 2000. The course always gives the impression of playing in utter solitude, since the fairways are so far apart. Architect Ross McMurray added a special touch to the course with many bunkers, several water obstacles, large quick greens and by clevery profiting from the slightly undulating topography.
The axel lange Generali Course is an interesting alternative to the two major courses: with a length of 4,750 meters and par 67, even green card golfers succeed in scoring pars and birdies. However, carelessness will soon be revenged in the score, because the axel lange Generali Course counts the largest number of water hazards. What counts is not the length of a shot but tactical play and precision.
Another reason for its popularity is the short round time that can be realized here: the short distances make it possible to play 9 holes in the evening in about one hour.

To play the Schloss Course (18 holes) you need a handicap of at least 36 during the summer season. For handicap holders -37 to 54 it is still possible to play the Schloss only after noon.

Golfclub Fleesensee is situated exactly between Hamburg and Berlin. On the A24 motorway (Berlin-Hamburg) make a turn on to the A19 motorway in the direction of Rostock and take the exit Waren. Land Fleesensee is indicated on road signs from there on. Follow the sign »Golf & Country Club Fleesensee« from the entrance. The drive from Hamburg takes about 2 hours, from Berlin 1.5 hours. Whether you come from Hamburg or Berlin to the golf club, in both cases you will be passing a radar speed detector on the road B192 at the abbey Kloster Malchow: the limit is 70 km/h.
