Golf club description
9 Par 72 holes, 6 par 3 holes
Beautifully swung middle latitude courses, each course differently nature adapted, marvelous view on the Sauerland, the Waldecker Upland and the neighboring places at the higher courses. The many young trees are still small and no obstacle, yet. The Greens are difficult to read, not large, usually raised and by defendet by a few shelters, stone biotopes or water. The greens defend themselves - the motto is “chip and run” - since they are hard and fast. The slope does not correspond to the reality, the Handicap is difficult to play, since the ball may be affected by small inclinations, various natural obstacles and biotopes. In the rest of nature-left plant in the style of Scottish village golf courses, attached to a sports site with sport home, soccer field, tennis facilities and a large playground directly at the local edge of west home. The 9+6-hole course is placed on a 280 m high plateau at the east end of the Sauerland, directly next to a delightful village of 2000 inhabitants with

Additional information
Already in 1991 some people interested in golf wanted to build a golf course. Therefore they founded the “Golfclub Marsberg”. Primarily, they played at a Driving Range behind the “Waldhaus”. The number of players steadily increased.
In 1998 the “Golfclub Marsberg” was closed. With support of the former TuS-Chairman F.-J. Weiffen a golf department was about to be founded. This should be a golf club on the examples of Sweden and Scotland, a club and a place for everyone, without any kind of ambitions to be a championship course.
In 1999, 70 members came together and began to plan. Due to requirements of the “Deutscher Golf Verband” (DGV) the club had to be named “TuS Westheim Golfclub”. They instructed the “Hoppenberg Golf KG” to build and maintain a golf course. The number of members increased quickly. Since 2000 we play at 9 simple tracks without Aqua-Barricades and trees. We hired Brian Cockeril as Coach who also gives lessons on sunny winter Sundays.
On March 1st, 2001, we received the building license. Since April we are members of the DGV and LGV (“Landes-Golfverband NRW”). On September 29th mayor Reinhard Schandelle officially opened the course and representatives of both churches inaugurated it.
In summer 2003, we began with the extension to a 9-hole, Par 72 course. The grand opening was in August 2004, at the same time we opened the 6 hole “Pay and Play” course, which was raised by the VCG.
