Photographing your property

A picture is worth a thousand words

One really good picture of your holiday home can be all that it takes to sell your property to a potential customer.

Opening Photograph

The opening photograph is the first image in your property listing and is also the thumbnail image that is displayed on our websites search pages. This is the most important photograph and should be super attractive in order to entice a renter in to take a closer look at your listing.

Pick your moment

Unless bad weather is one of your properties selling points exterior photographs should be taken on a clear sunny day, let the renters see your property in all its glory. Professional photographers rarely shoot in the mid-day sun because the light is direct and harsh. The best time of day for photos is during the 'golden light' of early morning or early evening, especially for exterior shots.

Location

If the selling point of your property is that it is located on a golf course or two minutes away from the sea - why not use one of your pictures to show that? After all, the location may be equally as important to the renter as your property.

The whole picture

We recommend that you show an even balance of Internal and external photographs as renters like to see as much as possible in order to get an all round feel for the property.

People or no people?

Although on occasions, people can add character to your property we generally recommend that you do not include people in your photographs as potential customers like to visualise themselves in the property.

Panoramic shots

Make use of the panoramic facility especially for external shots. Views of the local Golf Courses, Beaches and scenic views can look fantastic shot in panoramic format.
