The British is the longest established hotel in Valletta, and we are located in one of the city’s quaint terraced streets. This affordable two star, family-owned-and-run-hotel, overlooks the magnificent Grand Harbour. Our restaurant, lounge bar and most of our guest bedrooms offer panoramic views of this historic and picturesque harbour. Situated two minutes from Valetta’s prime shopping area and no more than five from the island’s administrative and financial centres, the British Hotel is the ideal base for the holidaymaker and business person alike. At the British we have 44 comfortably furnished guest bedrooms on six storeys - and most may be reached by lift. Golf details
The Royal Malta Golf course is one of the oldest clubs in Malta .It is a private Members' Club founded in 1888. It is an 18 hole golf course and the only one on the island. It also has over 15 tennis courts , Squash courts , a cricket and rugby pitch ,archery and a gym and pool area. Visitors can get day/week membership to the club. The Club is located in the town of MARSA which is about 10 mins away from Valletta by car or about 15-20 mins away by bus .

The British Hotel was used for filming parts of the film MUNICH , directed by Steven Spielberg and staring amongst other Eric Bana, Daniel Craig and Geoffrey Rush.
It has been in the same family since 1930 and some rooms have been redecorated in 2008
During the years there have been quite a few writers , artists and musicains frequenting the hotel, amongst them the late Ernie Bradford author of The Great Siege Malta 1565 , A.J. Quinnel author of the Man on Fire , The Mahdi and others
