Near Old Town, Albufeira

You can explore the Old Town (8 minutes' walk from the apartment) with its maze of narrow white cobbled streets, an excellent choice of shops, bars and restaurants and two good beaches. East of the Old Town is the area known as "The Strip”, famous for its nightlife. Just to the west of Albufeira is the brand new Marina where you can take a variety of boat trips. Many working fishing boats and pleasure craft can be seen in the Old Harbour adjoining. A short drive to the west brings you to a selection of long sandy beaches and delightful coves, typical of the Algarve coastline. The area really does have something for everyone - as well as the many superb golf courses for which the Algarve is famous, there are aqua-parks and zoos, and many attractive villages to explore in the hills behind Albufeira
