Attractive and well appointed ground-floo arapartment with four pools, gardens and children's playground, set in the quiet residential development of Quinta da Gomeira, situated in the heart of the pretty seaside village of Cabanas, Benamor (5mins.) Quinta da Ria/Cima (10 mins), 3.5km from Tavira on the Eastern Algarve. It provides the ideal location for a relaxing, carefree golfing holiday. Quinta da Gomeira can be reached in 30 minutes from Faro airport and is only 25 minute drive from the Spanish border. Nearby towns include Vila Real Santo Antonio (15 minutes drive, or train) from where a ferry goes to Ayamonte on the Spanish side, Olhao and Faro to the west. Lisbon is reachable from Tavira by car, coach or train. The waterfront is only a couple of minutes walk away as is the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and the historic fort of Sao Joao. From the waterfront boats ferry holidaymakers to and fro all day to what is effectively an island beach 'practically virgin and untouched'

| Notes | The beach at Cabanas is a 3 minute walk from the apartment. The spectacular 'island' beaches (part of the National Park) are reached by boat from the waterfront: both Praiha da Cabanas (4km in length) and Praiha Ilha da Tavira nearby are backed by sand dunes and boast EC Blue Flag status with excellent swimming and water sports facilities. Manta Rota, the largest, longest (and, reputedly, the best) beach on the Algarve is a 10 minute drive. There are also excellent beaches at most coastal villages along the N125. Further out beyond Faro, 45 mins drive, are water- and fun-parks. The eastern Algarve is still very 'unspoiled' and picturesque compared to some of the overdeveloped west coast resorts. This means that the rural way of life is still a reality for most of the Portuguese that live inland very few kilometres from Cabanas. Two of the nicest ways of experiencing this are by shopping at the local markets and venturing out into the countryside to sample food and drink alfresco. |

There are five first-class courses within easy reach of the apartments making them especially suitable for golfing holidays during the cooler months of the year. Benamor (3 minute drive from the apartment) - 18 holes, Par 71, 5,500m; Colina Verde (20 minute drive) - 9 holes, Par 3, 1,145m; Quinta da Ria (10 minute drive) - 18 holes, Par 72, 6,110m; Quinta da Cima (10 minute drive) - 18 holes, Par 72, 6,256m; Castro Marim (20 minute drive) - 18 holes, Par 71, 5,265m. There are more courses to the west of Faro including Villamoura (50 minute drive from Cabanas) and many more courses on the Spanish side of the border, including Isla Canela (Ayamonte), Islantilla and Costa Esuri.
