This is a lovely family house set in a peaceful residential area with stunning views looking out onto the ocean. The house is located on the sunny southern coast of Madeira close to the fashionable district of Garajau and Canico Centro. Guests can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Dessertas Islands from the large terrace, perfect for a romantic evening watching the sunset with a glass of wine. The lounge/dinning room is very spacious and has a balcony leading onto the terrace. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with all the modern conveniences and a large breakfast table seating 6 for a lazy breakfast.

The rental rate for the property is £370 per week up to 5 people, for an additional person we charge an additional £20.00 per week. Long term renters are welcome. With all long term renters, a maid is provided once per week to do the household cleaning at an additional charge, subject to availability. A 30% deposit must be paid to secure the booking and is non refundable after 6 weeks prior to departure. The balance must be paid 3 weeks prior to departure. In addition we charge a refundable deposit of £200 to cover breakables or damage. As soon as clearance has been given, the deposit will be returned. This should be paid with the balance. Bookings within the 3 week period ought to be paid in full. Payment can be made in Sterling or in Euros by bank transfer. Please note we are not responsible for bank transfer costs. Should you wish to cancel 2 weeks prior to your departure the rental rate is non refundable.

It is a perfect location to explore the surrounding areas, be it hiking in the levada walks, golfing, exploring the rural countryside, or visiting the natural beaches with its clear waters and pleasant temperatures. For those who want water slides the Santa Cruz Aqua Park is just a short distance by car. There is a good selection of restaurants, bars, patisseries and a bakery serving fresh bread daily. Canico Centro Shopping centre offers a supermarket and a variety of shops. The local hotels and bars offer a good selection of night life. Scenery
Madeira is known as the floating island offers plant lovers beautiful gardens; Botanical Gardens with its adjacent Orchid Garden, Palheiro Gardens and the Monte Palace.
Madeira is a walker's paradise and Garajau/Canico is a good location from which to explore different parts of the island using the 'levadas' (paths running alongside man-built irrigation channels). Canico's Tourism Office located in Canico de Baixo will be able to offer information on guided walks available
Swimming
Madeira offers natural beaches with crystal clear waters and pleasant temperatures. The nearby Reis Magos with its blue flag and at Santa Cruz swimmers can enjoy the sea and pools, the new Santa Cruz Aqua Park with it's flumes, chutes, etc. Other swimming pools & beaches to visit: Calhelta with its golden sands, Santa Cruz Praia das palmeiras, Porto Cruz, Praia Farmousa, Ponta Gorda and the Lido can be found in Funchal. Porto Moniz has natural beaches with sea water pools.

Madeira is full of festive dates throughout the year; Christmas & New Year - rich cultural and artistic with a specular fireworks display to welcome the new year in. FEBRUARY- Carnival. APRIL- Flower Festival. JUNE- Atlantic Festival, combining entertainment & culture. AUGUST - car rally, SEPTEMBER - Madeira wine festivities. October 14th - Regional Band Meeting held in Ponta Delgada
