Villa with 3 twin bedded rooms and pool near Quinta do Lago
Casa Helandria has been our 'home from home' for over 20 years and somewhere we love to escape to for relaxing breaks. It is set in over 1000 square metres of Portuguese style garden, in a quiet location with only a few other villas nearby. It is only 20 minutes drive from Faro airport and close to the golf courses at Val do Lobo and Quinta da Lago. There are 3 twin bedded rooms with large built in wardrobes containing drawers and plenty of coat hangers. All of the bedrooms are designed for flexibility so that the beds can be pushed together to form a double bed easily. There is a lounge, dining area and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave and washing machine. It is well equipped with plenty of cutlery, glasses, plates and cooking utensils. The villa can be used for entertaining more than the six people who can sleep there. Virgilia, our maid, has worked for us for over 20 years and works for 2 hours every day for 5 days per

Val Verde
Casa Helandria is almost midway between Val do Lobo and Quinta da Lago, but is 3km inland from the sea in a quiet area. There are just a few villas nearby and we are not on a development. Val do Lobo is 3km away as is Quinta do Lago. The town of Almancil is 4 km away.

A 20% non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. The remaining 80% must be paid 6 weeks before departure. Bookings can be secured either by telephone or by email. We take bookings on a per day basis, with a minimum booking period of 3 days, but are flexible regarding changeover days.

  • There are three twin bedded rooms all with large built in wardrobes containing drawers and plenty of coat hangers. All of the bedrooms are designed for flexibility so that the beds can be pushed together to form a double bed easily. Two are on the ground floor overlooking the pool. The master bedroom is on the first floor.

This bathroom and WC are used by the people in the downstairs bedrooms.

Golf details

The villa is almost exactly halfway between the golf courses of Val de Lobo (36 holes) and Quinta do Lago (36 holes). The courses of Sao Lourenco and Pinheiros Altos are also nearby. All these courses are of the highest quality. Val do Lobo and Quinta do Lago have both hosted the Portuguese Open. Sao Lourenco is rated amongst the best courses in Europe and has spectacular views. There are over 30 courses on the Algarve now. Guests at Casa Helandria can enjoy reduced green fees on almost all the courses on the Algarve.
Additional information

INDOORS
The lounge is situated upstairs with a south facing balcony, looking over the countryside towards the sea. There are two comfortable sofas as well as a welcoming fire which is often used in the winter and a library of over 100 books. The dining area is situated next to the kitchen and has a table suitable for 6 people. There is a patio door leading outside, where meals can also be taken in hot weather. This area is shaded from the hot sun.

MAID SERVICE
Virgilia, our maid, spends two hours every day from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) cleaning, making beds and helping guests enjoy their holiday. There is a good supply of bed linen and towels, but please bring your own beach towels.

OUTDOORS
The villa is set in a 1500 sq.m. garden with rockeries, Oleanders, Bougainvillea, Mimosa and some pine, fig and fruit trees. A wall of flowers surrounds the private tiled swimming pool (10m x 5 m). There is a large barbecue built into this wall and a large sun patio with sun loungers, table and chairs. A shady pergola has a large tiled table with seating area which is ideal for outdoor eating. The pool is normally in the sun, except late evening, when the pictures were taken.
