Burgau is considered by many to be one of the wonders of the world, loved by all ages and once been never forgotten. It's one of the few remaining working fishing villages on the Algarve, wonderfully situated on the edge of National Park Land, just a few minutes drive to neighbouring villages of Luz and Salema and just 10 minutes drive to the cosmopolitan city of Lagos with its beautiful Marina and its many historic sites. Smugglers alleys take you through the heart of the village and the main street is still cobbled and only the width of a car. Whilst small and very beautiful, Burgau host 24 restaurants and bars catering for every taste and pocket including the famous beach bar. The West Coast with its wild and wonderful coast line is an easy drive as are many places of interest such as Silves with its Castle. Many visitors do not hire a car and have a perfect holiday just relaxing and learning to chill.

There are many superb golf courses within easy reach of Burgau. Only 10 minutes drive to 3 of the best courses in the Algarve, BOA VISTA, PARQUE DE FLORESTA, and PALMERES. PENINA and many other famous courses just 15 - 30 minutes drive.

Extras
The owners of Casa do Pescador have put many things in place to make sure that all who stay here have the best and most relaxing holiday possible. Families are very welcome and the kitchen is kitted out to a very high standard so that anybody wishing to cook will enjoy doing so. For your enjoyment there is an honesty bar in the lounge where you can drink what is available as long as you replace it before you leave. There is also a book exchange where you can swap the books you have read for books that are there and take them home if you havn't finished when you go. There are also lots of beach items such as inflatables, boule, surf board, fishing rod, bats and balls, beach mats & sun shades etc which you are welcome to use while you are there.

Outside Areas
The outside areas are all enclosed making the villa ideal for small children. The courtyard and top terrace are extensions of the property and have been furnished as such, the full length sunbeds have cushions and there are tables and chairs situated in various areas, some in the sun and some in the wondeful floral shade. If you don't like the beach it is not hard to stay and relax in the privacy of your surroundings.
