Casa Do Mocho is a very attractive country style villa with delightful, well maintained, landscaped gardens. The villa is drapped in bougainvillea, there is a lawn, palm trees etc. Also a pool of course and lovely views to the surrounding countryside. It is set in the middle of an orange grove giving it the feel of a quinta, especially with the beautiful tile work around the windows, seating and fountain. With the wonderful scent of the orange blossom this is an excellent property from which to get a feel for the real Algarve! The villa sleeps 6 but there is a cottage across the courtyard which sleeps a further 2 guests. Perfect for a family/friends group who want to holiday together but enjoy their own space! You can hire the villa alone or the cottage as well at extra cost. If the extra room provided by the cottage is not required it will remain empty.

Casa Do Mocho is in central Algarve and so has easy access to all the best attractions. 'Zoo Marine' with it's dolphins, 'Algarve Shopping' which is an out of town shopping complex but Algarve style which is a much more relaxed affair! It has lots of shops, restaurants, bowling, cinemas etc. Also the biggest water park. Lagoa and Carvoeiro are the local towns with plenty of shops and restaurants. The beautiful sandy beaches are just 5-10 mins away. The world famous Penina Golf Course is a 10-15 minute drive. The Monchique mountains are also worth a visit and this villa is well placed to take a drive up the old road for the famous Chicken Piri Piri. The Moorish town of Silves is not far and is very interesting with its ancient castle. It is a small town on a hill and is literally surrounded by orange groves. 30 mins from Faro airport .

There are 5 golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Casa Do Mocho. The nearest is 'Vale De Milho'. An excellent course for beginners whilst giving the more experienced players a chance to concentrate on their short game. Waterfall into a large lake at the second hole. The Carvoeiro courses. Set in an area of undulating land 'Pinta' & 'Gramacho' are the work of master course designer Ronald Fream. Scattered with almond, carob and olive trees - many centuries old. Pinta is a conventional 18 hole course whilst 'Gramacho' is unique in Europe with 18 tees, 18 greens but only 9 fairways! Also the world famous 'Penina'. This Championship Course is the masterpiece of Sir Henry Cotton and his favourite course. The Portugese Open was held here in both 1998 & 1999. The 'Alto Club' is set in rolling countryside with lovely views to the sea. Again designed by Sir Henry Cotton it features the longest par 5 in Europe. Not to forget the 'Salgados' course. Links-style golf, almost on the beach! Well placed next to a bird sanctuary with many varieties of waterfowl. The scenery from this course is stunning.
