Our villa, Casa da Roda, is situated near Arganil in the Beiras region of Central Portugal. The villa overlooks a lake with spectacular views of the mountains and is surrounded by a conservation area. This is a perfect holiday for singles, couples, families or groups and is an ideal setting for workshops and retreats. Taste the wines and cuisine of Portugal and enjoy nearby facilities which include horse riding, golf, canoeing, etc. You will be spoilt for choice with the selection of destinations to enjoy on your trips out which can include the University City of Coimbra (for shoppers and lovers of architecture), the broad white sandy beaches of the western coast and, to the east, the highest mountains in Portugal at Serra da Estrela. If you prefer to relax at home, you can take in the views from the salt water swimming pool and heated jacuzzi on the patio. Then, after a relaxing barbeque, you can just sit and enjoy the unrivalled sunset over the lake.

Arganil
Our villa, Casa da Roda, is situated near Arganil in the Beiras region of Central Portugal.

Oporto Golf Club is located 17 kilometers to the south of Oporto beside the beautiful beaches of Espinho. It was established in 1890, when British residents in Porto created the club. Miramar (between Aveiro and Porto) is one of the oldest Portuguese golf courses and one of the most traditional in the country. When the course was inaugurated in 1932, Frank Gordon and Arthur Mariani were jointly responsible for the design, a nine hole course for Par 34 over 2.579 meters. Golf de Montebelo is in Viseu located in a unique landscape with exceptional views over Serra da Estrela and Serra do Caramulo. Curia has a new golf course.. This is a challenging nine hole, 34 par, executive golf course, with an area of around 20 acres and a track distance of 2407 meters (2632 yards).

Both floors have shaded balconies with lake views. The property will be cleaned once a week Electricity and gas for hot water and cooking is included in the rental price A welcome pack will be provided free of charge upon arrival to include basics such as milk, bread, butter, etc. Local wine is included in the welcome pack We have Sky Satellite and Cabo Satellite (Portuguese) together with Playstation One and a video player plus CD/DVD Player. Clients are welcome to use the stereo on the upper level and the portable CD/tape/radio player in the kitchen.

The nearest café and shop is less than 2 miles away in Sarnadela; there is a Post Office less than 2 miles away in Pombeiro da Beira. The nearest supermarkets are in Arganil which is about 15-20 minutes drive from Roda - Intermarche and Lidl are the main supermarkets but there are also many cafes, restaurants and small shops including take away pizza, etc. Although we have a salt water swimming pool it is possible to swim in the lake but we would suggest plastic or similar footwear be worn
