Lagos
Set on the edge of Lagos, the villa looks east to wide expanse of Meia Praia beach with Palmares Golf above it, north to the mountains in the background, south to the Flags of BoaVista Golf course and to the west is Praia da Luz. Close by is the A22 that leads in 20 minutes to Park da Floresta golf and spa and in the other direction to Eastern Algarve, Faro airport and even north towards Lisbon. Within walking distance is a good typical restaurant and cafe. A 3-minute drive will take you into Lagos, with its 3 large supermarkets, historic centre and marina. The villa has its own drive and parking for at least 4 cars.

Western Algarve boasts 9 golf courses within a 20-minute drive from the villa with another 10 less than an hour away. BOAVISTA 18-hole championship golf course with lakes and tumbling waterfalls, driving range and teaching academy can be seen from the villa and is only 2 minutes away. PALMARES, noted for its breathtaking scenery and splendid views across the bay of Lagos has a pleasing mixture of woodland and links holes, with the upper holes winding through groves of almond and fig trees – 8 minutes away. PARQUE da FLORESTA offers not only golf, but archery, bowls, horse riding, mountain biking, tennis and of course the fabulous new health & beauty spa. This Algarve’s most westerly course is blanketed with white flowers in early spring – 20 minutes drive away. Same driving time in the eastern direction are: PENINA Sir Henry Cotton’s championship course, home of the Portuguese open, 'The Penina' as it is reverentially known, was originally laid out on land used from growing rice, the course has been carefully upgraded over recent years and Eucalyptus trees now grow here in abundance. MORGADO the newest course to open in the Algarve is laid out in a large 980-hectare estate through undulating small valleys. The immediate main characteristic factor is its large greens, which place demand on good putting skills. PINTA GOLF is set in a typical Algarve landscape with almond, carob and olive trees that are reputed to be over 1500 years old. VALE do MILHO is a very friendly par-3 course with nine holes, only 926 metres in length it is a excellent course for beginners to practice and regular players to improve on their short game. GRAMACHO is a good challenge for whoever would like to imagine themselves playing the double greens of St. Andrews. Coast/Beach
You will be spoilt for choice with the excellent blue flag beaches close to the villa, starting with the magnificent 4km stretch of Meia Praia’s golden sand that edges the bay of Lagos. More spectacular are the beaches of Batata & Pinhoa west of the 17th century fortress at the mouth of the harbour. Praia Dona Ana & Ponta da Piedade have an extraordinary profusion of caves, tunnels, and grottoes, well worth taking a boat trip and viewing from the sea. Tucked round the corner from the lighthouse on the point is Porto do Mos another blue flag beach. Lagos Marina is bustling with the yachting fraternity just sit in the cafes on the quayside and just watch life go by. The town is also a fishing port where the fresh catch is sold along with other fresh produce, including fruit and vegetables, in the large covered market during the week. All only a 5 minutes drive from your front door!
