This luxury first floor apartment is in a prime position at an exclusive part of La Manga strip with stunning views over the marina, Mar Menor and mountains beyond. This is an excellent location for both golfers and non-golfers alike. The world famous La Manga Club is 20 minutes drive away with many quality golf courses close by including DeVere Roda Golf, La Serena and Hacienda del Alamo. Long stretches of unspoilt beaches and the famous therapeutic mud are only 300 meters away, and a great variety of water sports close by. The marina has many excellent restaurants and bars and from here you can take boat trips, hire boats, go on a diving trip or take the foot ferry across the Mar Menor. Good local transport means it's easy to travel to nearby places of interest such as historic "Port of Culture" - Cartagena. The apartment has a wide balcony, full air conditioning, underfloor heating, two double bedrooms with balcony and great views, a fitted kitchen and two bathrooms

La Manga Strip
The La Manga Strip has a unique position in Europe, between two Seas, the Mediterranean Sea and the crystal clear waters of the Mar Menor saltwater lake (the largest in Europe). The apartment is located overlooking the largest marina in the area, near the tip of the strip. This part of Spain is famous for its salt lakes (salt is a major export). This has a major knock on effect on humidity levels, and as a result the air is much dryer than in other parts of Spain & Europe. The low humidity levels coupled with a mild climate, means the WHO (World Health Organisation) have rated this part of Spain one of the healthiest climates on the planet. The world famous La Manga Club is 20 minutes drive away with many quality golf courses close by including DeVere Roda Golf (20 minutes), La Serena (20 minutes) Mar Menor Golf (20 minutes) and Hacienda del Alamo (40 minutes). A 9 hole pitch and putt and driving range is a couple of minutes drive away. La Manga Club is home to 3 magnificent 18 hole championship courses which all benefit from uniquely tranquil surroundings with superb views. La Manga Club is considered one of Europe's finest golfing destinations and has played host to many international tournaments. Roda Golf Course is constructed within an excellent 18-hole, par 72 golf course exclusively designed by Dave Thomas, one of the most prestigious European golf designers. La Serena Golf & Beach Resort is superbly situated just 5 minutes from the beautiful sandy beaches & calming shores of the Mar Menor. The original Mar Menor Golf 9-hole layout was designed by Dave Thomas but this is currently being extended into a Jack Nicklaus 18-hole course. Hacienda del Alamo was awarded 'International Golf Resort of the Year 2007'. The spectacular clubhouse has stunning views all the way to the Mar Menor and to the mountains of Murcia. The lounge area has two sofas, a tv and dvd/cd/video player with video inputs for your camcorder or digital camera. A selection of English TV channels are available including Sky News and BBC World News, there is also a DVD library. The dining area has seating for four people with an extending dining table. Both bedrooms have balconies and great views of the marina. The property is air conditioned in both bedrooms and lounge, and has underfloor heating to all rooms.

Further details outdoors:
The wide south facing balcony has a patio table and four chairs with views over the marina and the Mar Menor. It is a relaxing place to sit in tranquil surroundings and watch the boats sail by. We are close to the marina entrance so there is always plenty of activity to watch from the comfort of the balcony. There is an outdoor pool (about 200 meters away) open 1st March to 31st November, and paddle tennis court. The property is wheelchair accessible and has a lift. Ample free parking is available.

Getting there:
There are frequent low cost flights to both Murcia's San Javier and Alicante airports from many UK airports. Murcia Airport is a 40 minute drive and Alicante is 90 minutes. Taxis and car hire are available at both airports and airport transfers can be arranged. A car isn't necessary for non-golfers since we are just a couple of minutes walk from a supermarket, coffee shop, bakery and two restaurants and bars. The beaches are only a few hundred yards away. The marina is less than a 20 minute stroll away (or one short stop on the bus) with a variety of excellent restaurants and bars. Boat trips and the foot ferry depart from the marina and you can also take diving trips from here or hire boats. If you wish to go sightseeing or shopping in Cartagena or Murcia you can catch a bus from the strip. There is a bus stop a few hundred yards from the apartment.
