Ideally located for walkers and nature lovers, Cortijo el Tesoro is the perferct place to unwind from the stress of modern life and relax into the gentle rural pace of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Just behind the house, one can join the GR7 path following tracks up into the high mountains, mile upon mile of beautiful countryside just waiting to be explored.   • The Sunroom is not really a bedroom althought it has got a sofa-doublebed. This room is the sunniest in the house due to its south-facing double glassed facade and it has got a rocking chair and fantastic views. In the winter on a sunny day you can watch the snow outside while basking in the sun in a t-shirt. Binoculars provided for bird watching. Double doors lead to the main bedroom (bedroom1) and another door lead to the living-dinning area.

NotesPool and general maintenance throughout the year and firewood when needed. The entrance to the house is from a furnished terrace, ideal for barbecues and al fresco meals. A five minute stroll - or you can drive - brings you to the pool (10m x 5.5 m; 2 m deep) alongside a paved area for sunbathing and picnics. The pool area is situated in a beautifully secluded spot on the very edge of the oakwoods, overlooking a mountain meadow. Just behind the house one can join the route GR7 - that runs from southern Spain to Greece - across mountains, through valleys, rivers and picturesce villages. Horse riding close by, para-gliding, mountain bike, canion descent, etc. Winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada ski resort accesible from Granada. Spanish Lessons can be arranged from qualified teacher, asking in advance. Granada and the Alhambra Palace & Costa Tropical aprox. 1h. 30 m. Golf clubs: Granada - The Granada Golf Club - , Motril - Los Moriscos -, more in the Costa del Sol.
Additional information

Suitability
The Property is not suitable for small children, there are windows without rails, the pool hasnīt got a shallow end, the fireplace can be dangerous for children, etc. Also been in a Natural Park the access, paths etc are not suitable for elderly or infirm. This is a rural area with wild country around, ideal for excursions and other outdoor activities, that may require a minimum of fitness.

Electricity & Heating
The electricity is provided by a Solar Power System with converter to 220v. Most appliances are allowed except blow-heaters, microwaves, toasters & ironing. If you have an electrical appliance that consumes more than 500 wts, better leave it at home. You will find all the basic appliances and most modern personal gadgets (i-pods, laptops, digital cameras, mobile phones, etc, comsume little and are not a problem to recharge). Washing machine, TV, Video, DVD, Stereo, Mixer, etc are provided in the house. Donīt forget to bring the adapters from British to european plugs. There are parafine and gas heaters although the main heating comes from the fire place. This has an air-circulating system that blows hot air into the bedrooms while heating the living-room. Firewood provided.
