Traditional Andalucian mountain farmhouse renovated to a high standard into 3 self-catering casitas sleeping 2, 4 & 4. Pool and magnificent views in rural area yet only half an hour from the new Antequera golf complex, 40 minutes from Malaga airport, beaches, water sports and golf. One and half hours from historic MoorishGranada and Ronda. Mountains, almond groves and forests to walk in, white villages to explore. Stop and relax completely or be as active as you like. Ochre casita sleeps 2 people and has it's own private terrace with BBQand furniture. The bedroom is downstairs, long salon/dining kitchen and shower room with walk in shower upstairs. Umber casita sleeps 4 with double and twin bedrooms, shower room with walk in shower, kitchen and salon/dining room. It has it's own private terrace with furniture & BBQ Sienna casita sleeps 4 in a double and bunk rooms. A shower room, salon and dining/kitchen. Outside a priveate terrace with BBQ & furniture. Colmenar
Go inland from Malaga airport, the cost and the crowds - towards Seville and Granada on the motorway. 30 minutes later, as you head into the mountains, turn off towards Colmenar, a lovely traditional white village. Travel 3.3 km up a winding mountain road from Colmenar and you will find Francesca's, a few eagles, goats and one or two other houses dotted about. From Granada airport head towards Seveilleand Antequera on the motorway, the turn towards Malaga, about an hour from the airport you will come to the turnoff to Colmenar - follow the direction above!

The nearest is the brand new golf course and complex at Antequera, Antequera golf, they have a website for information. This is about 30 minutes away. There are many other golf courses on the Costa del Sol, between 30 and 50 minutes away.

Something for everyone location
Francesca's is perfectly located to suit all tastes, there is the lively coast for young families and teenagers.Though recent guests aged 9 and 11 have requested just Francesca's next year "it's better than the seaside here". Couples wanting a quiet break can sit and read, swim, eat, drink in peace and quiet, the private terraces are far enough away from the pool (set in the vineyard on the mountainside) not to hear any noise from there. Golfers, walkers, bikers, mountaineers,horse riders can find plenty of oppertunities inthe area to enjoy the sports. Botanists, bird watchers and artists can sit in peace and just enjoy - we have had buzzards swooping down to drink from the swimming pool, flamingos are on a lake near Antequera in summer and the wild flowers are fabulous in May. Sightseers can wander round the Alhambra and Bazaars in Granada, eat tapas and people watch inthe white mountain villagers adn visit Roman Antequera and Ronda.
