The mirador is a small, gated development situated in an elevated coastal position giving spectacular 180 degree sea views, whilst behind rises the great bulk of the Sierra Bermeja. It is built in a pretty 'pueblo' style, white with tiled roofs and winding walkways. There is an attractive communal swimming pool, with changing rooms and a good supply of sun beds, but if you want to go exploring this fascinating area of Spain then this is an ideal location. There is also an allocated parking space which means that you have no worries about where to leave your car.
El Mirador del Mar de Casares is conveniently situated at the junction of the coast road A7 (formerly N340) and the MA.8300 Casares road. This puts it within 10 minutes' reach of Estepona Golf, La Duquesa Golf, Finca Cortesin(Jack Nicklaus), Dona Julia and within 20 minutes of many more.

| Notes | The nearest town to the Mirador is Sabinillas, a few minutes drive away. Once a small fishing village it has grown into a thriving (but not large) seaside town. There are three supermarkets and a large selection of other shops, bars and restaurants. A particular attraction is the promenade, lined with restaurants, bars, cafes and ice cream parlours, where residents and visitors gather to meet friends over a drink or a meal. Only a little further beyond Sabinillas is the well established resort of Puerto de la Duquesa. This is extremely popular with visiting holidaymakers, who throng the bars and restaurants around the port. Estepona is the major town of the immediate area, 10 minutes drive away, and despite recent developments Estepona retains its Spanish character. It has a full range of shops, bars and restaurants, an attractive marina, and it boasts long, sandy blue flag beaches with excellent facilities. |
The Property
We regard this property as our Spanish home and have furnished and equipped it to a very high standard. It has marble floors throughout and there are air conditioning/heating units in all main rooms.
The lounge/dining room, kitchen, utility room and shower room are on the ground floor, and glass doors open onto a sea-facing terrace which is ideal for al fresco meals.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor, with a second terrace opening from the master bedroom.
The Surrounding Area
This is an ideal location to explore the far south of Spain, eastwards along the coast to Marbella and Puerto Banus or west to Sotogrande and Gibraltar and on to Tarifa and Cadiz. Driving inland you can visit some of the famous 'white villages' (including our namesake Casares) and the splendid city of Ronda, or make excursions further afield to the great cities of Jerez, Seville or Granada.
Sports and Leisure Activities
Apart from golf! Swimming and sailing are readily available and there are dolphin watching cruises from Gibraltar and Estepona.
The surrounding country is popular with both walkers and bird watchers, and if you enjoy riding there are two riding schools on the coastal strip and a third, run by an English couple, 7 km outside the white village of Gaucin.
Information on these activities, and many other visits, will be found in the House Book.
