  • Almenara Golf 300m. Valderrama Golf 700m. San Roque Golf (2 courses) 1km. 10 minutes drive is Sotogrande beach, port and restaurants. Here there is a sailing school and whale/dolphin watching is available. Wind surfing and Kite boarding is very popular in Tarifa and is approx. 30 minutes' drive away. Sotogrande commercial centre is 5 minutes drive away and has a large range of shops from the local butcher to supermarkets. There are some very good restaurants serving a large variety of food. There is a good horse riding school available 5 minutes drive away. Gibraltar airport 20 minutes. Malaga airport 1 hour. Algerciras port 20 minutes. 2km to Sotogrande shops, 3km to Sotogrande port, 20 minutes drive to Gibraltar, 35 minutes drive to Puerto Banus and Marbella.
Golf details
There are 2 courses on San Roque. The old Course is a stunning par 72 course designed by Dave Thomas and has hosted the Spanish Open, the European Tour Qualifying School and many other great events. The New Course opened in 2004, and designed by Perry Dye in association with Seve Ballesteros, has already been used for European Tour School final qualifying and last year (2006) hosted the Spanish Open. The famous Ryder Cup course at Valderrama is hosting the Volvo Masters between 1-4th Nov.07. The Almenara course within walking distance boasts 27 holes. Also very close is La Canada course which is an interesting 18hole course with very reasonable rates. There are another 26 courses within a 30-minute drive.
