Los colorados
The resort of Mojacar with miles of blue flag beaches and the fishing port of Garrucha is a short drive away,as is Agua Amarga with, what is said to be the best beach in Europe! Vera water park is 10 min drive away. The villa is just 10mins drive from several prestige golf courses. The internationally famous Desret Springs Golf Club, the challenging Valle d'Este golf course , scenic Marina Golf overlooking the sea in Mojacar and the newly refurbished Cortijo Grande make this a golf lovers paradise. The area immediately surrounding the estate is a quiet, sleepy landscape of orange and lemon groves with a relatively small number of houses, mainly old and inhabited by locals. The nearest town to Los Colorados is Antas, approximately 2 kilometres away with several shops, banks, and bar/cafes and 3 minutes drive away there is the excellent bar and restaurant, "Mi Casa", serving tapas and a good selection of meals including fresh fish and seafood for which the region is famous.

Immediate area
The resort of Mojacar with miles of blue flag beaches and the fishing port of Garrucha is a short drive away,as is Agua Amarga with, what is said to be the best beach in Europe! The very small local village of Al Jariz is less than 1 mile away. About 3 kilometres away is the larger market town of Vera, with supermarkets and all the usual facilities including a large market on Saturdays. There are many other interesting and very Spanish towns and villages in the nearby surrounding areas, Cuevas de Almanzora with its fort and troglodyte houses is only 5 kilometres away. The hillside town of Mojacar Pueblo with its narrow streets and tourist shops and bars is about 20 minutes drive.

Sightseeing
The port of Almeria, gateway to Africa, is approx 45 minutes drive. The spectacular Alhambra Palace in Granada and the Sierra Nevada winter ski area are just over 2 hours drive by a spectacular and quiet motorway drive. Along the coastline there are several interesting towns and villages. The national coastal park of Cabo de Gata starts approximately 30 minutes away by car, with its small villages and beaches in absolutely stunning natural surroundings. Granada with the spectacular Alhambra palace and the nearby ski-resort of Sierra Nevada are a pleasant 2 hr motorway drive away.
