Benahavis

Monte Mayor Golf Course: Seven kilometres inland from the coastal road between Marbella and Estepona and concealed by rugged mountains in a paradise yet to be really discovered, Monte Mayor nestles in a sheltered valley high in the hills of Benahavís from where it commands unparalleled views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and the African coastline. Flora and fauna abound and wild boar and the majestic king eagle live undisturbed in this dramatic natural reserve. The unique 18 hole course covers an area of 5,562 square metres and was designed in 1989 by Pepe Gancedo to test players to their utmost. Impeccable greens are set within tranquil valleys where the river Arroyo la Romera flows over rocks of natural marble into deep ravines and gullies. Please note the following handicap limits to play the course: man - 28 and woman – 36. Golf lessons are available. Other Golf Courses: This province boasts the highest concentration of golf courses in Europe. Between Rincon de la Victoria and Sotogrande there are 40 golf courses, which all have high quality installations.

On-site facilities
On site facilities include a pro-shop, club rental, putting green, driving range, locker room and showers. Green fees include a mandatory buggy. There are also 2 tennis courts and 2 paddle courts available for guests’ use. The La Perla Café which is situated next to the Monte Mayor Clubhouse is open from 8am to 8pm for drinks and refreshments. The kitchen is open from 11am to 4pm for more substantial fare. A pair of binoculars might come in useful due to the variety of rare birds and animals for which this natural reserve is home.

Included in the rental price
A generous welcome hamper of provisions is provided for your arrival. Maid service and fresh towels are provided every four days (please bring your own swimming towels). Fresh linen is provided once a week. The cost of electricity is included in the rental price. Our management team will be happy to make golf, restaurant or excursion reservations etc without charge.

Arrival and departure
In order that the house can be thoroughly prepared, guests are requested not to arrive before 17.00. There are comprehensive details in each house of all the emergency services, local shops, recommended restaurants, activities and places of interest. The on-site management team are available should you have any special requirements or need assistance during your stay. Please vacate the property by 10.00am on the day of departure and leave the property in a clean and tidy condition; we reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning if required. Charges for breakages or additional cleaning will be deducted from your security deposit upon your return. We urge you to verify these with the owner or manager before departure as their report is conclusive of any deductions which may be made.
