Beautiful detached, air-conditioned villa with private pool on the 5 star Polaris World golf resort, La Torre. The villa sleeps 4-6 and is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a great golfing or sunshine holiday. All accommodation is at ground floor level:- Max number of guests: 4-6 (1 king room + 1 twin room + double sofa bed in lounge). Air conditioning in lounge/dining room and in both bedrooms Central heating Kitchen and utility Lounge/ Dining Room with corner sofa bed (double), armchair, dining table + 6 chairs. Rooftop solarium with dining table and loungers. Full bathroom (adjacent to twin room) with bath (shower over). En-suite shower room to king bedroom. Bedroom 1: King-sized bed Bedroom 2: Twin beds Garden: Fenced rear garden, southwest facing. Terrace with outdoor dining furniture (for 6), sunloungers and BBQ. (N.B. Beaches 20 mins drive - Los Alcazeres is closest. Watersports in abundance on the Mar Menor La Manga strip (30 mins drive). Cartagena is a historic Roman City. A tourist boat takes you all around the docks of Cartagena in a circular route that borders the Lighthouses of Curra and Navidad, the Algameca Chica and the Isle of Escombreras. Tour the town on board the tourist bus - including the Castle of La Concepcion and the Panoramic Lift. Murcia city has many fine buildings, including the Cathedral. The citys museums include the Archaeological Museum, the Fine Arts Museum or the Salzillo Museum. Lorca Castle - encounter the Roman world. Sierra Espuna - a wilderness area of dramatic peaks and pine forest offering scenic drives, serious climbing and superb walking. Terra Natura Murcia consists of the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya, plus an aquapark with water slides etc. You can take safari type rides in land rovers through the African Savannah. The 18 hole golf course on La Torre is a par 68, with 5.354 metres of golf trail, 3 lakes, Natural surroundings in harmony with the area, Driving range & Putting green. USGA Standard, 55 hectares, Club, Pro-shop, Golf School. There are 3 other Polaris World courses close by (Mar Menor, El Valle, Hacienda Riquelme) - a shuttle bus runs between the Polaris World courses. Many other golf course in the surrounding area, including La Serena, Hacienda del Alamo, La Manga, Roda and Mosa Trajectum. We can provide a form that gives you owners' rates for the golf at La Torre. Deals (e.g. including buggy and lunch) are sometimes available.

We have tried to provide everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable holiday. You will find this villa very well equipped with plenty of extras, such as bikes, tennis equipment, golf clubs, pool toys, DVD's for adults and children, novels, games, cards etc. Also in the villa you will find tourist information and a file containing hints and tips for beaches, restaurants, shopping etc. The little extras you typically have to rush out and buy when you arrive at a self-catering villa are provided - washing up liquid, cloths, dishwasher tablets etc. If you've any queries before your visit we will be more than happy to advise you. Our local keyholders, an English couple who now live in Spain, are also fonts of local knowledge!

Our first guests came in 2008, shortly after the villa was finished. We have had a range of visitors - from serious golfers to families looking to enjoy some sunshine and swimming. All have enjoyed their stay and have been impressed with the villa and the resort. References can be provided.

The La Torre resort
The villa is within easy walking distance (5 minutes) of the town centre where you will find the golf clubhouse and several bars, an ice-cream parlour and restaurants (details can be provided if you wish to pre-book). The villa is also within a 2 minute walk of the supermarket and coffee bar. The supermarket has everything you need for self-catering - it has a good choice of food etc and the wine is particularly reasonably priced! In the resort itself, as well as the golf, you can find tennis (courts are free), a pool table in the club house, plenty of cycling space, childrens play areas, 12 large communal swimming pools and a gym. A pharmacy, a bank (with cash point) and a tourist office are also on site. The resort runs an entertainment programme which has included outdoor concerts (Kool and the Gang!), children's entertainers and regular live music in the bars. (Ruth Lorenzo of X-Factor fame was singing regularly at La Torre until her rise to fame!).
